It's intentionally very bright - almost completely white in places. You have the option of standard or compact start menus, and although is doesn't have custom colour compatability, it works fine if you use the 'force' option as shown in the snapshot.
Included in the skin are progress animations and toolbar icons, and, for a change, my own shell icons, and you will find a zip file containing the wallpaper at several resolutions (JPGs) inside the '..\WindowBlinds\Gilden' folder once you have installed the skin. (The icons are iCandy Junior Yellow.)

Unfortunately, I don't see any images on the DA website now, which is a bit of a handicap for this kind of site! This is probably some proxy server problem at my end, and it isn't something I have control over. So it might be one of my last submissions here. I'm very sorry... I'll not be removing anything, so feel free to keep commenting.

Looking for a simple WindowBlinds skin to spice up that desktop then grab Gilden by `essorant. The bright yellow tones make this an extremely desirable skin for us aliens, and non-aliens, alike! (Featured by °jark)
Essorant, all around effort on this skin. I first picked it up on WinCusto yestarday, but I'm glad you put it up here. Sorry to hear about your problems accessing the site, and if you do decide to discontinue future submissions, you'll be greatly missed. I hope any technical problem you're having can be worked out so losing your refreshing submissions won't have to be.
So anyway, I don't generally use yellow themes, so I changed the color in WB4.4 to A pastel blue of sorts, which went well with my previous desktops cheme, bootskin, logon, etc..
It sadens me to read that you might not be posting here anymore.. I've told you before i think you an extremley talented skinner. Glad to see you made some toolbar icons.. And you know what else i think is really sad. That a good 40 poeple have dl'ed this, and no one has commented, or thanked you for both your time AND effort. Poeple dont appreciate free stuff anymore, but complain when they have to pay for something.. Well anyway, thanks a lot. Im sure i will enjoy this skin as i have others. Peace be with you
Beautiful skin Tim. Love the simplicity you have going here.
Not sure about the problems; might have hit the site when there was a thumb server issue but other than that I see all imagery that you appear to have uploaded. Holler at me if there is something I can do to help!

Thank you MrFatJ and Atilla - kind words. I will continue to post, but probably not update quite as much <sniff> .
We have spoken about the images problem before Jark. I really don't think it's anything at your end, but at my corporate firewall which seems to let all the text through and none of the piccies. Kinda takes the edge of browsing!
your skin looks very plastique, very happy, very optimistic - to paraphrase the words of the one and only "original" catwoman michelle pfeiffer: "it looks so much more .. yummier"
i wish your work was the standard theme for winbloze xp!
instead of that misproportionate crap with buttons the size of real life coins .. ugh
one day when i will have a working computer i'll be downloading this like there's no tomorrow!
for now i give this deviation seven out of six stars for the graphics and functionality so beautifully merged into a working unit:
